We have found a nice little groove that is good lately. Once we get home from school, the boys have homework time! They are so excited to see what homework sheets Mommy has found for them. I try to stick with the subjects/letters/etc that Lincoln's teachers are doing, and he really gets into it. Beau is gaining so much knowledge as he does his best to keep up, and he really doesn't miss a thing! We've practiced writing As, finding words that begin with A, coloring pictures of A things, glued pom poms on an A, circled pictures of A things, but A pictures in order by size, and on and on!! Beau mostly scribbles and cuts while we talk, but he repeats everything we say. It's pretty easy for Mommy and Daddy to prepare dinner while the boys work, and it keeps to little boys out of the kitchen and out of the way! We like to head outside after dinner for a bit since the weather is pretty nice. It's definitely getting darker earlier, so always look check out the sunset and the rising moon.
Beau is still going to the potty well with only an accident or two a day. He's comfortable peeing at school and pooping at home. Lincoln took Beau's picture after he pooped last night then promptly got him a chocolate as a reward. I hadn't given Beau permission to get down from the potty yet, so he ate it while still sitting there. Lincoln really has been a big encourager.
After so much fun at school and plenty of activities at home, you would think these two would be ready to crash after a nice warm bath. Nope!!! They couldn't even keep still for a picture at 8:45 pm! Luckily they really calm down in their beds with their friends and books. Beau usually gets quiet pretty quickly, but Lincoln stays up singing and reading for at least an hour.
We will all be ready to get up and do it again tomorrow and hope to have just as much fun.
