The fun never ends with Lincoln and Beau, and the last few days have been filled with great stuff. The boys got new Lego sets on Wednesday, and they were determined to complete them before bed. They took a short dinner break to scarf down grilled chicken, broccoli, and strawberries, but they ran back to work on their Legos. Beau was happy to pose with his completed digger truck!
Lincoln was over the moon about his fancy tow truck! He figured out how to make it rotate on his own, and he was so proud! Awkward smile alert!
The boys invited me to their Mother's Day lunch celebrations at school on Thursday, and it was super sweet. After the moms had to have a Chicken Dance competition (really?!?!), the kids sang "You Are So Beautiful To Me" in their sweetest voices. Tear, anyone? We enjoyed lunch together with Linc's buddies and their moms.
After a quick lunch with Lincoln, Beau needed a visit from Mommy. He had decided not to eat a bite until we could eat together . . . luckily a bag of apple slices saved the day! He ate his lunch and thought the apple slices were a great addition. His excitement about his Mommy being there made my heart so full! (My hair is super crazy bad! It was fixed in the morning, but there were plenty of rain showers between drop off in the morning and the lunch event. We also had a tornado scare in the afternoon, but my hair wasn't involved in that!!!) Love Beau's sweet smile!
Other than the joy Beau had about Mommy joining him for lunch, the other best part of the day was the cupcake! He savored every second of icing on that cupcake!
The boys had the best day with Nana and Pops on Friday! They did some shopping, gymnastics, crafts, puzzles, chess, and so much more! We all loved meeting up for Friday Night Dinner. Lincoln's T-Ball game was bright and early at 8:15 on Saturday morning. Needless to say, no one at our house is an early riser. We all made it, we all had fun, and we all enjoyed the cool morning with friends . . . and snacks were super important!
After resting a bit from our early game, the boys had a painting craft to do outside. They were very dedicated and worked hard . . . and got covered in blue paint! Glad we did that outside!
They weren't ready to go back inside yet, so they did some soccer and T-Ball practice for a while. Beau stopped by for a sweet smile!
We didn't have any real plans in the evening, so we went to Lakewood to have Matt's for dinner. It was delish! After dinner, Daddy surprised the boys with a stop at the Klyde Warren Park. They love to go the park "over the tunnel with towers all around it." As we were walking in the park, Beau informed us that he remembered that there was a super yummy ice cream sandwich truck there. We searched the food trucks, but Cool Haus wasn't there on this evening. We had fun watching all of the other people there, we loved the fountains, and we danced to some fancy music.
A mirror calls for a silly selfie!
We stopped at each food truck to see if they had ice cream, but we didn't have any luck. Beau (and Daddy) were super sad on the way home that we didn't find any ice cream, so we made an emergency stop on Knox Street at Wild About Harry's for some delicious ice cream (no one tell Beau that is actually custard!)!!!! Thank goodness we got our dessert!
Oh my goodness, we have had the most fun days lately! Sure, there have been plenty of little fits and disagreements . . . but these are fun times!
