Super Fun Friday!

We have had a busy week and were ready for a super fun Friday!  We headed to our regular gymnastics "open gym" session at 11:00, but they had cancelled that session for the summer.  Boo!  We made a quick decision to meet Nana at the park to play.  Beau loved his pretend Whataburger order station, and we ordered lots of food from him.  His prices are crazy high, but we brought lots of pretend money.  He loves that his "computer" is also a little piano, and he plays us a few songs while we wait on our food.
Lincoln is the biggest kid every these days, and he loved everything about the playground.  We've been to this little hidden playground numerous times, but Lincoln just seemed so much older than any previous time we've played there.
After lunch and a little rest we hit up the pool for the evening.  Daddy headed out for some golf but would join us at the pool later.  Playing in the baby pool first is the best.  And the giant connect four game is super fun too!
When it was time to order dinner, the kids got to choose from a hot dog, a burger, or pizza.  Beau chose pizza, and Lincoln chose a burger with tater tots.  Mommy confirmed their choices three separate times, and they were solid.  Mommy decided Linc's pick of a burger and tater tots sound fun and added that to our order.  When the nice young man brought our food, Beau freaked out!  "I DON'T WANT A PIZZA, I WANT A BURGER AND TATER TOTS!!!!!"  No problem, buddy. Calm down!  He decided to trade his pizza for Mommy's burger and tater tots.  Moms do that type of thing all the time, right?  So Mommy ate the pizza because she was super hungry, and the boys munched on their burgers and tater tots.
About the time Mommy ate the last bite of the pizza (that she didn't even want), Beau decided to scream that he didn't want a burger and wanted his pizza!  Oh, the drama!  After so much complaining and consoling, and so much begging and pleading, Beau finally ate his burger and tater tots.  Lincoln told him to just order what he wanted and not freak out when it got there next time . . . truer words have never been spoken!
We moved to the big pool after dinner, and the boys had so much fun playing around.  Some of the families we have met recently were there, and the boys and parents had a great time together.
Lots of Friday fun!  Given our recent bedtime activities from Beau, it is worth noting that he crashed immediately after going to bed.  He hadn't moved a muscle when we went to check on him!  Lincoln took advantage of a weekend night to stay up a little later, and he put together a Lego project.  He was crashed out too after just a few minutes of being tucked in.  Such a fun day . . . and so many things planned for the rest of the weekend.  Busy busy!
