The Weekend . . . So Far

Finally Friday!  The boys were excited to have a home day after a busy week back at school.  Swimming lessons resumed from Christmas Break, and we went to Anamia's for dinner of course.  The Lightning McQueen car had a little damage that needed attention from two little mechanics, and they were super serious about working on it.  They actually managed to fix it a little with their tools and persistence!
An ice cream treat was in order after all such a fun day, and they devoured the sprinkles from their little Blue Bell cups.  It's hard to beat a vanilla ice cream cup with sprinkles, and it always makes the smile!
Saturday was a beautiful day, just as the weatherman said it would be.  The boys had fun playing with Nana and Pops outside while Mommy and Daddy went for a looooooong and super brisk walk.  (That was fun - loved walking and talking with my man!)  Beau worked on his pedal skills . . . more like he actually put some effort into pushing the pedals for the first time.  He has always preferred to just scoot with his feet, but it was time to ride like a big boy!  Yay for Beau!
Lincoln was focused on his Frisbee for quite a while.  We talked about the important flick of the wrist, and he and Pops worked on it.  He definitely mastered looking super cute regardless of his Frisbee skills!
We had dinner at Katy Trail with the Robison's, and everyone loved their burgers.  They are definitely the best burgers in town!  Lincoln had picked up mini graham cracker pie crusts at Tom Tom this afternoon, so we needed to make a pie to go in them.  Chocolate pie with whipped cream and sprinkles sounded perfect!  They were easy to make and delicious to eat.
So it's been a fun Friday and Saturday, and we hope Sunday is just as lovely.  Lincoln and I have Sunday School in the morning while Daddy and Beau are chilling in big church, I bet Cindi's will provide us a yummy brunch, we plan to spend more time outside enjoying the warm weather, and the pot roast that will be cooking all day in the Crock Pot will no doubt make the house smell amazingly yummy.  While all of those things will most definitely happen, I should also point out that our Sunday will also consist of breaking up random brother fights, repeating the no tattle rule, reminding people to be patient while waiting for our table at brunch, reminding people to take bites of the much desired and long awaited brunch, doing multiple loads of laundry because people change clothes a lot, cleaning the bathroom floor because two people in this house have really bad aim, and hopefully getting lots of hugs, kisses and silly giggles.  Just keeping it real!!!
