Back to normal, back to school and work on Monday. Lincoln went to his tennis lesson after school, and we were hanging out at the club while he played. Beau was being so charming in the restaurant, and we decided to order dinner to go for when Linc's tennis lesson was over. Beau loved sitting at the bar talking to his favorite water man (Mr. Chris the bartender, who loves chatting with Beau and always wears proudly the stickers that Beau brings him), he chatted with the other managers who always come and check on what little Mr. Kuhlman is up to, we played a few rounds of guess what animal I'm thinking of (and Beau's are always dinosaurs, but be specific about with exact dinosaur he's thinking of and know all of its physical qualities and what it eats . . . seriously!), and then we placed our to go order. An older member that we hadn't met yet came over to ask if he could give Beau a reward. Mommy asked for a little more details, and the sweet man said that the men in his family carried $2 bills to reward little kids who were behaving exceptionally well in public/social situations. He explained that Beau's behavior had just made his night, and Beau was rewarded with a special $2 bill. He thought it was really cool, Mommy thought it was really special, and that man shared with us that he is rarely able to give out his $2 bill rewards because most kids these days are rowdy/whiny little brats. So Beau just assured this older man that good kids are still around . . . good thing he didn't follow us to the indoor tennis facility because Beau threw a massive fit about being eliminated from the line game at the end of Linc's lesson. Super sweet Beau!!!!!
Obviously this picture was taken before the line game began. Sometimes little brother take it pretty hard when they are slower and get eliminated from the game. Luckily, he had a $2 bill in his pocket to cheer him up!
We all had work and school on Tuesday, then we all headed off in separate directions in the evening. A few months ago, a group of Bowie moms bought tickets to the world premier of the documentary, The Drop Box. We met up for dinner before the film and had so much fun! The film was amazing and so inspiring. Pretty sure no one escaped without a few tears! www.thedropboxfilm.com
Daddy, Linc, and Beau were busy at Cici's pizza on Tuesday night for Lincoln's basketball team "end of season" party. They had fun eating pizza, but most importantly the little siblings needed to make sure they were all together. Beau, Lucy, and Charlie have really developed a strong bond during the season. Such sweeties!!!
Coach John handed out trophies after the pizza was done, and he began with Lincoln. Probably for no specific reason, but Beau is super proud that Lincoln got his trophy first. Really, Beau is super proud that Lincoln got his trophy first and can't stop talking about it!
Lincoln and Beau each got to take a couple of dollars in quarters to Cici's, and Daddy says they used those wisely. The race car game was super fun! Oh, and Beau is back to shark hair. Love it!
Two completely opposite faces while shooting . . . Lincoln wide open face - Beau aiming frown. #notsurprised
The next post will be about the impending (then in reality)cold/ rain/ice/snow event that breaks all kinds of records in Dallas.
