I'm not sure how much I've shared about Beau and his final school year at Primrose, so I'm going to go back to last fall (2015). Beau was in the Pre-K (4 year old) room for the first two weeks of the fall semester, when I got a call from the director. She said Beau was way above the other 4 year olds and needed some new challenges academically. They wanted to move him up to private Kindergarten (that they offer onsite). After some hesitancy and lots of discussions, we agreed that Beau was ready for the new material but would NOT be tested or graded to graduate from Kindergarten officially from Primrose. The older kids there (5 year olds) can go straight to public 1st grade after they graduate. We always knew he would start regular Kindergarten at Bowie in the fall of 2016 with our neighborhood friends. Beau loved the new environment, really took in all of the new experiences, mastered each skill, and was proud to be with the big kids. It was a great decision for him because he would have been really bored in Pre-K. They asked if he could be included in the Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony with his class, even though we were doing real Kindergarten at Bowie. We all met up to celebrate Beau, and it was a little overwhelming (for Mom and Beau). Not gonna lie . . . this Mom cried for a second when the realization hit that this boy is not a baby at daycare, but a super smart boy that is super ready for school. Perhaps all of the attention had Beau a little off, and he wasn't the happiest about taking pictures. He literally looks like he might burst into tears in each picture. Hopefully our smiles make up for that!
Cap and Gown . . . matched to Mom's dress?! Totally unplanned, but awesome! They wear red and navy everyday, so it was a surprise.
Grandparents Galore!!! Nana and Pops were there to celebrate Beau, and Minnie and Bubbles drove in as well. Special day for sure. It's like the Beau Fan Club called a meeting or something.
Always the best big brother . . . Lincoln was super proud of Beau.
Beau was announced and accepted his "diploma" . . . and said he wants to be a construction worker!
Oh, Beau-Beau . . . we loved to be there for your special day. Can't wait to see how you rock Bowie Kindergarten!
