What We've Been Doing This Week!

The weatherman had been predicting lots of rain for Monday, so we were ready with our umbrellas after school.  Lincoln and Beau LOVE their umbrellas and LOVE when it rains!
I wouldn't really say that we are morning people, but the boys were super excited to wear their brand new Minion shirts on Tuesday morning.  Lincoln gave a sweet smile, and Beau gave a silly face before school.  They got ambushed at school by their friends when they walked in with these shirts!
They had a great day at school, and Lincoln was so excited to have homework in the evening.  After dinner, he began his assignment of writing numbers from 1 to 100.  The fun and excitement lasted until about 73, but we encouraged him to finish.  He was so proud when he wrote 100!!!  (He was the only one in the class to complete the assignment, and he got to choose a prize from the treasure chest.  His teacher called me after lunch to say how proud she was on Lincoln!  Me too!!!)
Beau's class adopted a pet fish on Wednesday, and he was loving it!  They talked about the fish in his little tank all day, and they each even made their own fish craft with a Ziploc baggie, aquarium rocks, water, blue food coloring, and two little plastic fishies.  He was crazy happy to pose with his project hanging behind him on the window.  We are loving that his teachers have so many fun activities for the class!  Lincoln needed to be in the picture too!
We had a delicious dinner of grilled chicken, steamed green beans, and a few slices of cheddar cheese, then we headed for a run in the stroller.  It was pretty windy so we ran in the neighborhood instead of the bike trail.  Lincoln was so excited that we ran down the street that his T-Ball coach lives on . . . and Coach Wes and Charlie (his teammate) were outside practicing.  Love getting to visit with them and Natalie for a few minutes!  The boys rode their bikes and scooters outside for a bit.
Time to head inside to work a few puzzles and have a snack, but we loved the cooler weather!
