New to the Table

The playroom was reorganized a bit over the weekend, and it has inspired lots of new fun ideas!  This new chair ladder/maze/contraption was entertainment for hours.  So weird!  The boys got a
TV in the playroom with the promise of Daddy's old Play Station.  They can't wait for games and DVDs, but the plugs mysteriously still aren't available.
We are continuing our week of eating new foods.  Monday was bake chicken tacos.  The picture was beautiful, and the actual meal was delicious for everyone.  Daddy had a work dinner on Tuesday evening, so the boys were treated to homemade pepperoni rolls.  A can of crescent rolls, a package of pepperonis, and a handful of mozzarella cheese sticks were baked into a super yummy dinner!  The boys ate them up like crazy!
So there are probably some fun pictures from Wednesday, but this dinner picture wins in keeping with the new food theme.  We tried cheese tortellini in Daddy's homemade marinara, and it was amazing!  Seriously scrumptious and easy to eat.  The boys were happy to have cheese-filled pasta with sauce, and they totally love broccoli.  Like, they need to be reminded to take break from the broccoli . . . . such a lucky mom!  But it was great that they loved the tortellini.  Such an easy dinner.
We have just been stuck in a little food rut of grilled chicken and pork tenderloin lately, and it has been fun to try some new things.  Three new dinners and three success stories . . . so proud!  The fact that they are willing to try and then like new foods makes their parents so happy.  We always tell them that we'll never serve the something that is not delicious, and maybe they are finally believing that!  We have so many more dinners to plan and enjoy - stay tuned!
