Super Bowl Sunday

Our Super Bowl Sunday was super fun!  It was very cold and rainy, so we did some indoor activities in the afternoon.  Mommy was working on the birthday party invitations, and Lincoln and Beau needed to do a little art too.  Beau was really proud of his drawing, and we had to hang it on his door.  (Beau woke up with the CRAZIEST hair EVER!  It was just kind of crazy in the morning, and a bit crazier in the afternoon, and full blown crazy by the evening.  I guess the rainy weather really made it grow throughout the day . . . and usually he has the nicest hair!)
We didn't really do any traditional Super Bowl foods except a bowl of guacamole!  We just had baked salmon and roasted veggies for dinner - boring!  The boys and I made chocolate and sprinkle covered brownie pops before (and during) the game, and they turned out cute and yummy!
So these delightful treats take a long time to complete.  There isn't really so much work, but several steps that require time in between.  Luckily, the boys thought they were delicious!  They were cheering on the Seahawks with their pink sprinkles, while Mommy and Daddy were baffled that Denver was losing so badly.  Linc really loved his brownie pop!
Beau was in love with his chocolate brownie pop, of course!  They both had two each!  (I wasn't kidding about Beau's hair . . . by bath time it was super wild!)
Bath time and bed time was normal, but Lincoln got to sneak out and hang in the kitchen for a bit.  Mommy was cooking chicken to prep for the next night's dinner, and Lincoln wanted to help address the party invitations.  He got to read two books and help with the envelopes, and it was a fun and special surprise time with Linc.
Super Bowl Sunday was really fun, even if we didn't have too many Super Bowl activities going on.  A fun family day is always great!
