Friday at last! We dropped Lincoln off at Kindergarten and went for donuts . . . happy Beau at the donut shop with a chocolate twist, donut holes, and a "hot dog"! He can smile the sweetest smiles ever!
After enjoying our breakfast treat, we tested out the new single jogging stroller. Mommy was happy to push a (way!) lighter single stroller. That heavy double was getting too hard with two big boys, so we sold it to a new family. Beau was happy with the change too!
Instead of a busy Friday full of errands like the library, the car wash, the grocery store, the post office, and on and on, we had a super low key day at home. We took apart a million of Lincoln's Lego projects and organized his Lego table, we read books, Beau made up stories, we made a fun lunch, Beau took on the role of personal trainer and made a silly workout for Mommy to do, and we just played. It was the best time spent with Beau, who had his sweet and silly attitude on all day! We went to pick Lincoln up from Kindergarten and couldn't resist a little playground time with a few school friends and their little siblings. Friday was Hat Day, and Lincoln had turned his backwards by the end of the day! He was a crazy slider on the highest slide!
Beau really liked getting to play on the Kindergarten playground. He never misses a chance to act like his big brother!
More sliding . . . cutest thing ever!!! Still with the hat backwards! He told me that a little girl called him a dork for wearing his hat backwards earlier in the day, then after recess she came up and told him that she thought he was cute for wearing it like that. Already?!?! Apparently, he won her over after a few hours!
Beau had watched Lincoln go down the big slide a few times and decided he was up for it too. Mommy almost had a heart attack, and Lincoln was sure he would catch him at the bottom, and Beau didn't care what either of us thought! He loved the big slide!
Beau had given some specific instructions about a cake we needed to make for dessert. Mommy did some kitchen magic and provided just what he wanted. The Robisons joined us for a (Beau-named) Quesadilla Party, and we loved hanging out with them for the evening. Luckily, we had a few extra cake eaters!
What a great Friday! Can we do this again every other Friday?!?! We have lots planned for Saturday and plenty of pictures will show the fun.
