Friday and Saturday - Ready for Spring!

After our snow day, we are all ready for a warm up.  Beau was excited for gymnastics on Friday morning.  He loves running around, doing tricks on the equipment, playing with the other kids . . . and racing Mom over and over.  Such a cutie!
Beau elected to stay home with Daddy when it was time to pick Lincoln up from school.  Linc got a surprise trip to get the oil changed in Mommy's car - fun!  We actually did have a great time for the 25 minutes we waited.  (It was fairly busy because no one has been wanting to get an oil change in the super cold temps lately!)  We took turns reading Lincoln's library books, we took turns reading Lincoln's library books AGAIN, then we played I Spy for a while.  The older lady sitting in the waiting room with us and playing on her iPad was amazed that we didn't have any electronic devices for Lincoln.  She chuckled multiple times at the stories and I Spy topics.  The boys don't really know that iPads or Leap Pads or other electronic things can be taken out of the house much, and we certainly don't advertise it.  They get to watch a movie during dinner on Friday nights, but we stay a while and it's kind of a lot going on.  Love that we are "old school" when entertaining while out and about - reading books and playing I Spy!
When we got home, Beau joined Lincoln outside to play in the warmer weather.  So happy for sunshine and melting snow!
We only had a couple of things planned for Saturday:  Daddy had a 1:15 tee time, and Lincoln had a 1:30 (make-up) tennis lesson.  We all headed to the club to enjoy the day, and it was super warm and so much fun.  Beau and Mommy sat on the patio by the fire with some craft supplies and the giant Jenga blocks.
Lincoln was on the outdoor tennis courts and had a great practice, according to his coach and a classmate's dad.   Beau ordered a hot dog from the griller-man at the turn for he and Linc to share after the tennis lesson.  He also got Lincoln's favorite bag of chips, so thoughtful!  Nana joined us on the patio for a while, and the boys had their snack and built some fun things with the giant Jenga blocks.  So much fun!
Daddy was completely surprised that we were still sitting on the patio when his golf game was over . . we just didn't want to leave the warm sun and fun outdoor activities!  Everyone needed a great spring-like day to remind us of what is to come.  We are ready for spring!
